Brethren who have passed to the Grand Lodge above
We remember with affection those Brethren who have practised the Craft, shaped our Province and who have now passed to the Grand Lodge above. Sadly, Brethren have passed on since we began our online database in 2004.

Please report to the webmaster any omissions or inaccuracies found in these records.

At 86 Mike was the oldest Member of Ambleside Lodge. He knew Craft Ritual inside out and never needed a book! - an inspiration to all of us and will be sadly missed by the Brethren of the Lodge.A Service will be held prior to cremation at St Mary's Church Ambleside on Tuesday 20th October at 10.45 a.m. For further details please ring Lodge Secretary

We said 'Goodbye' to Lee and his funeral was attended by lots of people - he was a very popular member of Eden Lodge and will be missed in a very big way. We will also miss his postings on the Joke Forum of which he was probably one of the largest contributors. Freemasonry and the Forum in particular has lost a great asset.

Roy  Curry , Master Mason (Lodge JW) on 20 April 2009
Alston Lodge No.2794
Roy was an unassuming mason with a big heart. He died after a short illness. He had only entered freemasonry late in life and at the age of 62 had climbed the ladder to Junior Warden and was looking forward to going into the Masters Chair in October 2010. He was not married but looked after his mother who will miss his assistance. For such a small man in stature he will be greatly missed for all his extensive community work in Alston where he spent much of his leisure time. The funeral will be held on Tuesday 28th April at 1:00pm and will be at the Parish Church in Lumley Co. Durham.
