Vale of Eden Lodge No.2493
Nigel was the Treasurer of Vale of Eden Lodge No. 2493 MMM of Eden Valley Lodge No. 888 and a Companion of Winder Chapter No. 3984. He died suddenly whilst walking his dog on 4th February 2009. He was a well loved and respected Mason and a hard working Treasurer who is a sad loss to his family his Lodge and all who knew him.

Alston Lodge No.2794
John died at Freeman Hospital Newcastle. Aged 79 Years. He was a retired farmer born and spent all his life at Alston he was and seems always to have been a stalwart of Alston Lodge and Alston Chapter. The funeral of John aged will be held at St. Augustine's Church Alston Cumbria on Monday 26th January at 11am and then move on to the Cemetary for burial. John served his Lodge and the Province of Cumberland and Westmorland to a high standard for many years. His duty to his lodge was unsurpassed by no brother alive or dead. He was initiated in to Alston Lodge on 10th May 1957 and received his 50 year certificate from W Bro Tom Wilkinson. He held every post in Alston Lodge with dedication and professionalism holding the office of DC for over 20 years until recently. He will be greatly missed by everyone in freemasonry.

Barry passed to the Grand Lodge Above on Wednesday evening after long illness. His funeral will be at St. Andrew's Church Sedbergh at 1pm on Thursday 22 January 2009.

The funeral will be at 1.00pm on Thursday 16th October 2008 at St James' Church Whitehaven followed by internment at Maryport Cemetery. Donations in Phill's memory if desired to the League of Friends West Cumberland Hospital. Phill was an Honorary Member of the Lodge and was Initiated on 7 May 1945 giving over 63 years service to Freemasonry - he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

W. Bro. Kenneth William Bond PGSD Assistant Provincial Grand Master died at 6.30 am this morning (Sunday) following his recent heart attack whilst on holiday in Switzerland. The funeral will be at St. John's Church Keswick on Tuesday 5th August 2008 at 12 noon.
