At the last meeting of Curwen Lodge No 1400, which meets at Workington Masonic Hall, it was a celebration of W Bro William (Billy) Allan, Past Provincial Junior Grand Warden to celebrate his 70 years in Craft Freemasonry.

On Wednesday 13th of September, 61 Brethren watched the Deputy Provincial Grand Master VW Bro Keith Young PGSwdB present W Bro Bill Allan PPJGW with a certificate marking 70 years in Freemasonry.
Bill, who is now 93 years old, became a member of Curwen Lodge No.1400 on 9th July 1947. Later, Bill also became a founder member of Concorde Lodge No.8113.
On Wednesday, 12th April 2017, Curwen Lodge No. 1400 celebrated the 50th anniversary of Worshipful Brother George Featherstone Richardson PPGSuptWks being initiated into Curwen Lodge No.1400. An address was given by Worshipful Brother William Henry Morley BEM PSGD Assistant Provincial Grand Master on the life history and masonic career of Worship Brother Richardson.
