About us
Cumbrian Byte Lodge was constituted in November 2002 and was formed for the purpose of introducing Masons to Computer and Information Technology. These days the use of computers are commonplace in the workplace and home and the Lodge now focuses on expanding the computer related knowledge of the Brethren in the Province, with lectures and presentations on getting the best from your laptop or desktop PC. Brethren who are members, and those who visit, have varying degrees of computer skills and the preamble to the meeting and the festive board afterwards is a lively goldmine of hints and tips on all things computer related, whether that is in the form of traditional PC's or the new wave of communication devices such as iPhones and smartphones.

Whatever your personal computer skills are, you are most welcome at Cumbrian Byte. We're always on the look out for new Members so if you'd like to join Cumbrian Byte, we'll be delighted to see you. Membership costs are very inexpensive, and you're sure to enjoy the relaxed and friendly harmony of this unique Lodge.
