On a wet windy and wild night 31 Mark Masons braved the weather to attend the Arthur French Sewell Lodge, No.1814 in Keswick. A warm welcome was extended to all by W Bro. Bill (Tickety Boo) Chicken.
Following a illustrated talk on Touring Europe on Two Wheels by Bro D. J. Noble, S.W of Derwent Lodge No. 282, VW Bro. B. Kirkbride PJGO, DepPGM gave a field appointment to V W Bro. Neville Hurst Parry, that of Past Provincial Grand Steward. This was received with great acclamation by the assembled brethren. VW Bro. Kirkbride went on further to explain that since the Arthur French Sewell Lodge had been based in Keswick VW Bro. Parry had attended and played the organ, in the absence of WBro. J. Postlethwaite.
As a PPGStwd, VW. Bro. Parry was now eligible to join the Arthur French Sewell lodge and V. W. Bro. Kirkbride proposed that VW.Bro. Parry be made an honorary member in recognition of his services to the Lodge. This proposition was greeted with unanimous agreement by the assembled brethren and even greater acclamation from all the attending brethren.
The evening was rounded off with the usual hearty meal as you would expect at Keswick and a very enjoyable harmonious was had by all.
