Following an application made by Provincial Grand Lodge the Mark Benevolent Fund Trustees have approved a donation of £83,500 to provide our BEEP Doctors with state of the art monitors/defibrillators. Since it began, BEEP has moved on from just three Doctors and a 15 mile operating radius around Penrith, to ten highly trained Doctors, whose own cars are equipped with ‘Blues and Twos’ and emergency equipment. Beep (Basics) Cumbria now covers all of Cumbria from Kendal up to the Scottish Borders.
On hearing the news of the donation Dr. Theo Weston of BEEP said…… “Thank you so much for this utterly amazing donation of £83,500 to the BEEP Doctors Charity. This is absolutely fantastic news for us and is the single biggest donation we have had for many years. It will now enable us to buy at least six state of the art monitor/defibrillators and therefore these funds will be directly going towards saving lives in our community throughout Cumbria………Again, VERY MANY THANKS”
