At the Belted Will Royal Arch Chapter meeting on Thursday 4th April 2019, Ex. Comp. Richard Carruthers Davidson was presented with a certificate to commemorate 50 years membership of the Royal Arch Degree by the Provincial Deputy Grand Superintendent, Ex. Companion Peter Mason. Over recent months Richard has received 50 year certificates in the Craft and Mark Degrees also. Apart from being a true gentleman, he’s a wonderful Mason in every respect, and held in high esteem by all in Freemasonry, and his local community at Brampton, where he’s fondly known as ‘Dick the post, having delivered mail for many years. Richard was 3rd Prov: Gr: Principal of this Province in 1995 – 2nd Prov: Gr: Principal in 1996, and was honoured by Supreme Grand Chapter with the rank of Past Grand Standard Bearer in 2004. Richard is also the recipient of an M.B.E. for services to his community. He has served Belted Will Chapter superbly, in various offices, over many years having been First Principal in 1982. The Deputy Grand Superintendent delivered a well researched and extensive oration about, not just Richard’s Masonic career, but also the many and varied way in which he’s served his community. A wonderful story about a wonderful Mason.
