Derwentwater Lodge No. 6375, presented a cheque for £620-63 to Bill Richardson, Keswick Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal Organiser on Wednesday 6th February 2019 in the Masonic Hall, Keswick. Our new Worshipful Master, John Rothwell, at his Installation last November, used his prerogative and asked that all donations that evening, and that from our ladies who joined us later after dining in the Skiddaw Hotel, should go to the Keswick branch of the Royal British Legion.
John’s installation was on the 2nd November, just nine days before the centenary of the ending of the First World War, so there was no doubt as to the charity which should benefit.
