As Freemasons we can are proud of the support we give to our communities, not only through generous financial donations, but through the time, skills and compassion we offer as individuals.
Many of our local charities urgently need that kind of practical help.
Thanks to £50,000 from the Masonic Charitable Foundation, we are launching a major new partnership with Cumbria CVS. This will boost their core work and create a new rewarding volunteering pathway for Freemasons, our families and our friends. It helps match our members skills — practical, professional and personal — with the real needs of local charities.
This enables us to help by not just by giving money, but by giving ourselves, our experience, our knowledge, and our time. It will build stronger, more resilient community groups across our county and offer each of us a rewarding way to serve that goes far deeper than financial support alone.
The project recently got under way around Cartmel Races and a report of that can be found below
