At the September meeting of Sun, Square and Compass Lodge No. 119, the West Area Deputy Lead, W.Bro. Andrew Moore, had the very pleasant duty of presenting the Lodge with their Bronze 2027 Festival certificate. This certificate celebrates the Lodge’s generous contribution of nearly £7,000 to the Festival.
The acting Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Stephen Haraldsen, thanked W.Bro. Moore on behalf of himself and all the members for this recognition.
At the festive board, the Lodge Charity Steward, W.Bro. Chris Whiteside, expressed his gratitude to the brethren for their continued support of the Festival collections, and to members and visitors alike for their generosity. It was clear to all present how the Lodge has achieved success in supporting both the Festival and other charities, with initiatives such as their bottle draw at each meeting – a simple but effective means of raising funds.
A most enjoyable evening was had by all, and the brethren now look forward with anticipation to their installation meeting next month.
