On 17th October, Cumbria Lodge hosted a wine-tasting evening in support of Hospice at Home West Cumbria. Guest speakers Rob Walker, President, and Jessica Woolaghan, Partnerships and Fundraising Coordinator, delivered a captivating talk on the charity’s history and growth since its founding in 1987, reflecting on the compassion and community that drive its work supporting patients and families across West Cumbria. Two of the charity’s Trustees were also in attendance, sharing in an evening that celebrated fellowship, generosity, and purpose.
Guided by sommelier Hans, guests explored seven wines, three whites, three reds, and a sparkling red to begin, alongside a beautiful buffet prepared by Peter and Bee of Frizington Bakery. Together, the Lodge raised £400 for Hospice at Home’s vital services, a night where warmth gathered softly, and generosity became its own light. 🌻
