Hospice at Home West Cumbria receives £2500 from the Province

Following an emergency appeal for funds by Hospice at Home West Cumbria, the Province has donated £2500 to help the charity to continue providing care to our local communities during the pandemic. With all of their fundraising events being cancelled and their charity shops being unable to open, Hospice at Home West Cumbria have had their income slashed dramatically. The Province has decided to support them in their time of need.

CEO of Hospice at Home West Cumbria, Julie Monk told the Province “Thank you to the Provincial Grand Lodge of Cumberland and Westmorland for a donation of £2,500. Their ongoing support is greatly valued, particularly at this challenging time.”

In reply, the Provincial Grand Master told them ““We are pleased to be able to help in some small way at what must be a difficult time for you. Your work goes on and we sometimes take for granted what you do for us at times of great difficulty in our lives. To be able to help you in any way and make us think of your caring and unending patience when we need it most is in itself thanks enough. All of us at some time have had our lives blessed by the care you give to others. I thank you for all you do”. The donation from the Provincial Grand Master’s Charity Fund and from the members of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Cumberland and Westmorland.
