Last night, Ennerdale Lodge had a very special evening when the Head of Cumberland and Westmorland Freemasons, Nick Wilson, and his Provincial team joined them for their regular meeting.
Everyone enjoyed a brilliant talk from local historian Michael McCrickard of Copeland Lodge who shared the story of Whitehaven’s famous character, Sal Madge.
The highlight of the night came when Lodge Officer Frank Corkhill was appointed as Past Provincial Junior Grand Warden, to match the same rank he already holds in Essex. Frank also holds London Grand Rank and he was both surprised and delighted with the honour.
The evening finished with a lively buffet festive board, rounding off a night that will be remembered for a long time.
