Local Woodwork Group flourish with support from Cumbria Freemasons

Woodworking sessions at CancerCare’s Kendal centre have received a boost with a generous grant of £1,000 from the Freemasons of Cumbria. The grant will keep the members of the woodwork group chiselling, drilling and sawing for weeks to come under the experienced eye of our tutor, Tom Webster.

The woodwork group offers the support to learn something new, alongside people who understand what it’s like to be affected by cancer or bereavement.

CancerCare is an independent local charity dedicated to helping local families affected by cancer and bereavement living in North Lancashire and South Cumbria. With over 30 years of experience, CancerCare has worked with and helped over 22,000 local people affected by cancer and other life limiting conditions, these services are provided free of charge, possible only through fundraising and generous donations.
