Masonic Open Garden A Great Success Despite The Weather

The Province held an Open Garden event this weekend to raise funds for the Festival Appeal. The weather was grey and wet on the Saturday, but a bit brighter on the Sunday. Despite the not so great weather lots of people attended the event and at the moment the total raised is in excess of £800

Visitors from the local area and Masonic connections attend to look around Traceys wildlife garden in Parkside, near Cleator Moor and were treated to plenty of tea and cakes, as well as bee keeping demonstrations, Hedgehog rescue talks, a treasure hunt and a walk around the pond. Lucky visitors also spotted Roe deer with young wandering across the fields on the Saturday.

We would like to thank each and everyone that took the time to visit and spend time with us, and to all the helpers that gave up their time to serve the tea and cakes, man the stall and wash up. We would also like to thank the local family that painted some pebbles to look like lady birds and hid them for us in the garden , we look forward to finding them all and we will leave them there for others to find.
