We’re excited to announce that 2024 marks the 20th anniversary of our TalentAid scheme! For two decades, we’ve had the privilege of supporting the children and grandchildren of Freemasons who have exceptional gifts in music, sports, or the performing arts.
Over the years, we’ve seen remarkable young people shine brighter with our help – many of whom have gone on to have thriving careers in their fields! We couldn’t be prouder of the positive impact TalentAid has had on so many young lives.
We know how tough it can be for families to financially support a child’s exceptional talent – whether it’s paying for advanced sports coaching, music lessons, or buying specialised equipment.
That’s where TalentAid steps in! We provide bursaries that help cover the costs of nurturing extraordinary abilities and remove the financial barriers holding talented young people back from their dreams. Each bursary is tailored to the individual’s needs and reviewed annually to ensure the support grows with them as their talent develops.

Here’s a quick rundown of some of the requirements to apply for TalentAid:
Freemason Connection: The applicant must be the child, step-child, grandchild, or step-grandchild of a Freemason.
Age & Education: Candidates must be under 25 and in full-time education.
Financial Need: We conduct a financial assessment to ensure fair support for families in need.
Career Ambition: We’re looking for young people with the drive to turn their talent into a career – demonstrated through exams, performances, or competitive entries.
TalentAid is focused on supporting exceptional talents – not funding hobbies or
academic scholarships. Grants for school fees are considered only for those attending accredited schools for the performing arts, specialist music or sports institutions. We aim to help as many families as possible, so we ask parents to contribute to school fees wherever possible.
