At this month’s Lodge of Friendship meeting at Cleator Moor, one of the visitors, Norman ‘Norrie’ Whitehead received a promotion to Past Provincial Junior Grand Warden. The promotion was given to him by the Deputy Provincial Grand Master William Henry Morley BEM as a thank you for Norrie being part of both his escorts when he was appointed, Assistant PGM, and then again when he was appointed Deputy PGM, Bill had been trying to get the right opportunity for some time now to promote him and show him how grateful he was for his support.
Also in attendance was Group Chairman David Bowden, the Provincial Junior Grand Warden, Neil Dixon and also Richard Sharpe a Grand Lodge officer and around 30 other brethren.
Norrie was in his words, gobsmacked and honoured.
