September 10th was the final meeting of J J Robinson Chapter before it amalgamates with Scawfell Chapter 3768 and Sun Square and Compasses Chapter 119.
J J Robinson Chapter was consecrated on the 27th May 1904 and has enjoyed very prosperous times over the years, with active members who were renowned for carrying out great ritual.
During the meeting, several members relayed their fond memories of the Chapter and its many past members. E.Comp Bryan Heskett, PGSoj, the Chapter’s longest serving member started the ball rolling with great stories about Directors of Ceremonies over the years, with many long-serving members following on with their own memories. It was a memorable and fitting way to close out the Chapter, and a wonderfully positive way to celebrate a fantastic history.
During the meeting, E.Comp Andrew Moore, PGStB, West Area Deputy Lead, presented the Companions of J J Robinson Chapter with a Bronze Festival certificate in recognition of the their donation to the 2027 Festival of nearly £700 and wished the members well for the future.
The amalgamation of the three chapters is proceeding very well, with thanks to E.Comp Eddie Crosby, PPGSE for his hard work in facilitating the merger, and to all the Companions of the three Chapters for their support in making the amalgamation happen.
