Temperantia Lodge No 2854 hosted a very successful evening of “Masonic Rarities” at their regular meeting. This comprised rarely heard Masonic ritual performed by brethren of Lewis Lodge (1st Degree Tracing Board), St Bega Lodge (2nd degree working tools long version) and Cumbria Lodge (Ecclesiastes passage from the 3rd Degree).
This feast of Masonic learning was followed by a very lively festive Board. The atmosphere was electric and those present were then treated to Assistant Provincial Grand Master “Bob-a-job” David Bowden conducting the raffle in ruthless and hilarious style. A tremendous sum was raised for the 2027 Festival and the evening culminated with the award of the Workington Reds bucket hat.
The evening drew large numbers and showed what can achieved by doing something a little different at our meetings.
