The Masons at Cleator Moor Civic Hall host the annual Carol Contest

Last Night at The Civic and Masonic Hall in Cleator Moor the combined Lodges from the hall hosted their annual Carol Concert. It was a very well attended night with the Worshipful Masters giving the readings and the Cleator Moor Brass Band playing the music. The Whitehaven Sea Cadets and Army Cadets were there and in very good voice.

Bill Morely BEM Welcomed everyone to the evening and our Provincial Grand Chaplain Christopher Blackshaw gave a thought provoking sermon and was in very good voice for the carols. A Raffle was held and a collection made with all the proceeds going to the local food bank to help out over Christmas. There was even a surprise visit from the man himself Father Christmas who handed out chocolates to all the children ( and a few adults as well !) .

After the concert everyone was invited for a buffet with tea, Coffee, Christmas cake and Mince pies along with a vast array of lovely festive food provided by the lodges. A good night was had by all
