Members from Heversham Lodge No.8396 and The Lodge of Uniformed Services No 9911 with their ladies and additional guests from throughout the South Area of the Province, attended in support of the Rawthey Project Burns Supper at the Dalesman Inn, Sedbergh.
Guests were greeted by masonic pipers from both Lodges W. Bro. Richard Cowie and Bro. Shaun Gregg. Vocal entertainment was provided by W. Bro. Rev. Chris Blackshaw and Mr Frank McGregor on accordion.
The haggis was addressed and dispatched with all the traditional flare and theatrics one comes to expect by W. Bro. Cowie.
Following supper, representatives from both Heversham Lodge and The Lodge of Uniformed Services presented cheques in the sum of £500.00 from each lodge to the Project.
A vote of thanks was given by Mr Brian Capstick the co-ordinator and manager of the Rawthey Project, in addition to which he gave an account of the work currently achieved for and on behalf of the needy military veterans for whom the project gives support and motivation.
