The Whitehaven 1030 Air Cadet Squadron was the beneficiary of a charitable donation of £500 from the former West Cumberland Group. The squadron intends to put the money towards the purchase of robotics equipment. This evening’s presentation was made by West Area Lead W. Bro. Mark Edmiston to Commanding Officer WO Philip Barnard. Also pictured are West Comms Officer Bro. Carl Basso, West Charity Steward W. Bro. Graeme Thompson and W. Bro. James Fowler of Temperantia Lodge.
James and Graeme then presented WO Barnard with a further cheque from Temperantia Lodge. W. Bro. James has strong connections with 1030, having formerly been one of their Cadets.
The squadron was extremely grateful for the donations.
