Last weekend the newer members of the Province ( Light Blues as the are known ) headed down to the Grand Lodge in London for the second annual meeting.
Over 60 Cumbria Freemasons travelled down by train or car, stopping over the night before for a meal and socialising before arriving bright and early in London on the hotest day of the year so far.
The gathering celebrated friendship, inclusion, personal development, charitable giving and community service, while showcasing the modern face of Freemasonry, it also marked the first time members of the women’s Masonic Orders were formally welcomed to attend.
Plans were laid down, new friends from across the country were made and a good time was had by all.
