W.Bro David Bowden, APGM, was invited to occupy the WM chair by W.Bro Jeff Taylor and delivered a fitting tribute to Stan’s long and distinguished masonic service. Stan’s work as a compositor in the printing industry meant he was involved in the publishing of newspapers when they were actually printed in Workington. His hobby as a keen cyclist provided much entertainment, including the time he cycled onto a firing range to be escorted onto a safer road by a tank!
Tribute to his support of his fellow Lodge members was led by the WM W.Bro Jeff Taylor who stated that without Stan’s support would never have progressed to the Chair. The APGM presented Stan with his 50 years certificate which was read in the lodge by W.Bro Kenneth Archer ,PJGD.
The festive board was a happy and joyous occasion for all present with the proceedings presided over by W.Bro Luke Jackson PrAGDC in a splendid manner.
