17th January 2019, Uter Pendragon Lodge celebrated W.Bro. Stuart Johnstone PPJW, 50 years in freemasonry. The meeting was attended by the APGM Keith Beaumont, and the PPGM Norman Thompson. The evening was enjoyed by 37 members and 29 visitors who came to join with Stuart in his celebrations.
Stuart, was a Lewis initiated on 16th December 1969 by his farther GH Johnstone he is the senior partner at Johnstone’s garage Kirkby Stephen one of the oldest established ford dealers the U.K. He was placed in the chair of Uter Pendragon Lodge in 1983 and following that served as chaplain for 14 years and continues to be an active and valued member of our lodge. In the picture of Stuart at the Festive board he is seated with the Master and APGM, you can see the name of his father on the past masters board.
