The November meeting of Gospatric Lodge No.5826 was the 50th anniversary of W Bro Neil Henderson joining the lodge and becoming a Mason.
The Assistant Provincial Grand Master, W Bro Ian St. John D’Arcy had the pleasure of presenting him with his commemorative certificate from the Province.
Neil joined Gospatric Lodge at the age of 37 years and became Worshipful Master of the lodge in 1984.
Both of Neil’s sons Iain and Neil not only joined Gospatric Lodge but also attained the Master’s chair.
Neil was educated at Cockermouth Grammar School and after National Service, became a joiner with Twinames.
Neil, a keen angler was also the Chairman of Cockermouth Angling Club for 29 years.
