On Thursday 25th November 2021, W Bro Keith Beaumont APGM was pleased to present W Bro Thomas (Tom) Smith, Past Provincial Junior Grand Warden with his 50yr certificate in freemasonry on behalf of the R W Provincial Grand Master William John Bewley. W Bro Smith was initiated into Union Lodge No 129 on Thursday 20 May 1971, and was installed as Master of Union Lodge No 129 on the 29th January 1987. W Bro Smith is also a member of Westmorland Lodge of Installed Masters No 7111 and was a founding member of Kendalian Lodge No 9757.
The meeting was well attended by members of Union Lodge and many visitors with a very enjoyable festive board. V W Bro Keith Young PGSwdB, Past Deputy Provincial Grand Master proposed the toast to W.Bro Tom and also presented him with a nice bottle of Jura Malt whisky.
Congratulations to W.Bro Tom, from everyone in the Province of Cumberland and Westmorland on your magnificent achievement! We all wish you many more happy years in the craft, especially in Union Lodge.
