Kris Williams, Head Teacher at the school said;
“Rebound therapy works for children with complex physical needs to engage in physical activity in a way that is supportive of their development and enables them. Rebound therapy also works with pupils with complex communication difficulties such as Autism, and encourages them to communicate through physical communication as well the more traditional spoken pathways.”
“The therapy aside some of our pupils just need to bounce! without this they can struggle to learn in the classroom, last and by no means least it’s fun too. The works for the project as you can imagine have to be extensive and very safe for our pupils”.
The East Lakes Challenge is a great example of local Freemasons working in their communities. Events like this rely of the support of those who take part and by doing so have helped to provide life changing education equipment for these children.
