Bro. Mark Watson took his 2nd regular step in Freemasonry last night at The Lodge of Unanimity #339 which meets in Penrith.
The meeting appeared to be a very normal ceremony; however, there was one small exception in that the Brother taking this step is deaf and uses a cochlear implant.
As with his Initiation, the Brethren of Unanimity made small adjustments to the ceremony, enabling Mark to continue his journey into our wonderful organisation. A ceremony full of emotional significance, yet retaining most of our well-established ritual.
The Brethren truly provided our newly passed brother with a column of mutual support, in a most inclusive environment. A special mention of the 2 Deacons, Brothers Stuart Mitchell and Simon Lucas.
Last night, we showed what Freemasonry can do: we adapt, we overcome, we triumph. 💪👏🤝🔵🔴
