Cumberland & Westmorland Brethren Present at Grand Lodge
It was a real pleasure to have the company of our three Homeless Veterans Champions who accompanied those brethren attending United Grand Lodge. Scott Norris, our Provincial Grand Mentor, is a frequent visitor to Grand Lodge, although for Stephen Lawton and James Lowther it marked their very first visit to a regular Quarterly Communication.
Their outstanding efforts were recognised in fine style with the presence of Assistant Grand Master John Thompson at our table, who wished to congratulate them personally on their achievement. It was wonderful to see our Province of Cumberland & Westmorland acknowledged for the innovative and heartfelt way it continues to support the Armed Forces Covenant.
And needless to say, the surroundings of the Connaught Rooms were considerably more comfortable than those they endured during the challenge itself — a well‑earned contrast.
