At the Derwentwater Lodge meeting on Friday 1st November 2019, Bro. Peter Rainey, was installed as Master for the forthcoming year. The main installation work was shared between the outgoing Master, W. Bro. John Rothwell and W. Bro. Michael Robertson, a very good friend and work colleague of Peters. Our Rt. W. Provincial Grand Master was represented by W. Bro. Michael Cameron PAGDC, ProvGrDC
The ceremony was very sincere and carried out extremely proficiently by the several members who contributed.
Derwentwater Lodge is well known for its convivial Festive Board and this evening was no exception, with excellent food, wine, company, an impressive raffle, and the Masters song delivered by W. Bro. Arthur Turner. Over 40 members and visitors dined.
Bro. Rainey is a keen Manchester City football club supporter. The club badge was printed on the reverse of the dinner tickets and there were some references to the club during the evening. Needless to say there were some caustic, but good natured comments from a number of Manchester United supporters present.
