Remembrance Sunday

Many Freemasons and their families members have died fighting for our country in the past.

The Cleator Moor Civic Hall and Masonic Centre have set up a wall of remembrance  to honour those who fought in all wars.

They even had a visit from the National Poppy Appeal to take photos of the walls to add them to their booklets.

In contrast to this, Workington Masonic Hall has two framed items (upstairs on the landing) remembering the fallen.

A copper plaque honouring Curwen Lodge members who fought in World War One.
Framed certificate in honour of those who fought in World War One naming all members of the three craft lodges in Workington (Sun and Sector No.962, Curwen Lodge N.1400 and Eden Lodge No.2285).
