A sponsored walk was organised for Castle and Coasts housing association which took part on Thursday 20th June in aid of the Great North Ambulance. 19 members from the management team took part from as far away as Newcastle, We started from Honister Slate Mine past Dubs hut then onto Haystacks via Innominate Tarn a total of 9.5 miles, they have raised up to now £4,630 which will be match funded by the company.
I am a resident in Great Gardens, Keswick which is one of their properties and being a keen fell walker and ex mountain rescue member was asked to lead this walk and also give out some local Knowledge and history of the area.
